Audio production
In their English lessons the children wrote a rally speech for Boudicca and her tribe. They then used the audacity software to record themselves performing this speech. The children identified the input device (microphone) and output devices (speaker or headphones) required to work with sound digitally. In order to record audio themselves and create an effective speech the children learnt to edit their work, add multiple tracks, and open and save the audio files.
Photo editing
In this unit the children have developed their understanding of how digital images can be changed and edited, and how they can then be resaved and reused. They edited pictures taken of themselves for their Romans performance. They have considered the impact that editing images can have and evaluated the effectiveness of their choices.
