This year at Burton Primary, we celebrated European Languages Day by throwing it open to the whole world! Children were invited to choose any foreign speaking country and to become an expert in that land. They were then invited to share their knowledge at our Languages Fair which was held in the school hall and was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all of the different cultures on our planet. The children amazed us with their hard work and originality in presenting their research, as well as sharing the new language they had learned. In groups or individually, children sang, danced, cooked and shared food, dressed up and generally embraced their themes. It was lovely to see so many countries represented and so many parents come in to share this celebration. A huge well done to all the children who took part - choosing winners was incredibly difficult. Please enjoy looking at the videos, PowerPoints and pictures from the afternoon.
