Year 5 were lucky enough this week to be joined by a French visitor. Chloe (14) is staying with one of our students for two weeks as part of a French Exchange and chose to join Doves Class for two days to immerse herself in English language. She was also brave enough to read two French pictures books to us so we could hear the French language spoken. We were able to gather the gist of the story through using the pictures, Chloe's intonation and spotting cognates between French and English, and French and Spanish. It was lovely to have her join us. We also spotted how differently their inverted commas look to ours! Merci beaucoup Chloe!
