To celebrate European Languages Day this year, we were lucky enough to be joined by Chef Jose from 'The Spanish Kitchen'. Jose demonstrated how to cook some typical Spanish cuisine using authentic methods. We tried the refreshing gazpacho soup, the traditional Spanish tortilla (Spanish omelette) and sampled a hefty portion of the delicious 'paella de cerdo y pollo (pork & chicken)' - we didn't need our lunch!
Chef Jose also taught us a little bit of Spanish as we went and explained that the pan the paella was cooked in was called a 'paella' (so the paella was cooked in a paella)! The paella took just over an hour to prepare and cook but was well worth the wait.
