Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We were pleased to welcome Lea Hampton back to the school to work with Year 2 and Year 5. On this visit, Lea brought with her local employers to meet the children to talk about jobs. Two lucky children won vouchers to Costa!
Thank you again Lea. The children have learnt so much this term from having the 'Jobs in a box'.
On Friday 18th October a team of children from Years 2-6 took part in an Inter-School Science Competition. It was a great morning and the children worked hard to pit their scientific brains against the other schools.
Well done to all who took part.
We are holding a CPA maths workshop for parents. Please let us know if you can attend.
Mrs Kolbucaj and Miss Colbourne
We were delighted to welcome Lea Hampton back to our school for a second year. Lea came in thanks to funding from the 'National Careers Week' to spend time with children from both KS1 and 2.
Lea brought with her a careers box to share with the children. The box contained costumes, props & profile cards that supported different roles within the Housing Industry. The roles included a mix of employed and self employed roles, challenging stereotyping. The children in the different year groups enjoyed the different activities they were presented with.
Lea has left the box in school for two weeks to allow the children time to enjoy trying to work in the different jobs through role play and reading the scenario cards. We will be in touch with Lea to tell her how we used the box and we will be welcoming more visitors linked to 'National Careers Week' in the near future.
We are very excited about the new location for our 2019 residential. Following on from the meeting today for the current Year 5 parents, a power point can be found on the Owls page, so you can share it as a family and make a decision together.
Please remember a non-refundable deposit of £50 is required by 1st March.
