Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our Year 2 children participated this week in a Gifted and Talented maths event at Mudeford Juniors with other children from across the schools in Christchurch. They participated in a range of problem solving and mathematical reasoning activities. The children did amazingly well winning the overall event.
Today a group of Year 5 and 6 pupils represented our school at the Christchurch Holocaust Memorial Service at the Captains Club in Christchurch and later at the Quomps.
The children in Year 5 and 6 entered a schools arts competition on this year's theme of 'Stand Together'. We were delighted to find out that some of our school had been awarded certificates. These were collected by our representatives and will be presented in assembly by Josephine Jackson next week. Josephine Jackson visited us last year to talk to Year 6 about her experiences of Kinder Transport in the second World War. We are delighted she has agreed to return to work with our upper juniors once again.
Higgledy Piggledy Nativity!
The Ducks and Otters put on a wonderful Nativity at St Luke's Church. We were so proud of all of the children as they sang their songs beautifully, danced wonderfully and spoke so clearly! The costumes were super and it really was a fantastic start to Christmas and helped us all to remember the true meaning behind this time of year.
The children have been finding out about how to stay safe near the railways. They watched the clip below. Please take a moment to watch it with your children.
Thank you
This half-term a group of our Year 6 digital leaders have begun supporting our lessons on Internet Safety. As Anti-bullying week has also occurred, the digital leaders have focused on being 'Internet Kind' as well as being 'Internet safe'.
They have done an amazing job and we thank them for the hard work they are putting into their inputs. Time has been spent at home and in lunchtimes preparing with Mrs Kolbucaj.
