Outdoor Education at Moors Valley

On Monday 2nd March we took 8 children from Y5/6 to Moors Valley to do Orienteering and Mountain Biking.

We were very lucky with the weather as it wasn't raining! However it was very wet and muddy! The children lucky enough to go were; Joe, George, Brooke, Ruby, Finnley, Luca, Scarlett and Natasha. We went on a coach with lots of other schools from the Christchurch partnership. First we went for a walk around the play trail with children from Mudeford Junior school. Then we went Mountain Biking which was the favourite activity. We cycled on tracks and tarmac and through lots of muddy puddles. In the afternoon we learnt how to use maps and had a go at orienteering in the forest. Fortunately we all made it back!! What a wonderful way to spend a Monday!!
