During the school day, we will try to be outside as much as possible, whatever the weather, so please make sure you always bring a coat, with a hood to school and a sun hat if the weather is hot
Remember to bring your book bag for taking your reading book home.
You will also need to bring a named water bottle and a healthy snack (fruit or vegetables) to eat at playtime
Children may bring a pack lunch from home or order a hot meal through Forerunner
If you provide your own packed lunch;
Please ensure it is a healthy lunch
Do not include fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate.
Ensure the children can open the packaging themselves—if at all possible
If the school receives Pupil Premium funding for your child, you can order a free meal through the Forerunner site
What do I need to know?
Games is on a Tuesday and P.E is on a Wednesday.
You can wear your PE kit and trainers to school on those days,
please dress for the weather as you will going outside for playtimes (tracksuits/jumpers for cold days)
- green T-Shirt & black shorts
- Hoody and Jogging bottoms (plain black or navy) for outside games
No jewellery is to be worn, this includes earrings. These must be removed or covered (without assistance) before every PE lesson and long hair must be tied back
Mrs Bellis and Miss Niblett have their PPA time on a Tuesday afternoon,
during this time the classes will be covered by
Miss Daniels and Mrs Johnson
Mums and Dads please continue to support your child with daily reading by listening to them read their reading books and also by reading story books with/to them from the local library
(10 minutes a day is definitely better than 20 minutes a week)
If your child reads 4 or more times in a week and it is recorded on Marvellous Me, they will be awarded a super reader badge
As Dr Seuss the author of 'The Cat in the Hat' said:
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Remember learning continues every day at home when you talk with your child about their day, and they can share with you some of the fantastic learning that has been happening at school.
We want to work in partnership with you to ensure a smooth transition through school and to ensure your child is a happy, resilient, enthusiastic and independent learner.
Please let us know of any worries, fears or concerns, however big or small.
You can contact us as class teachers via the school office and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
