We are a class of Early Years and Year 1 children who love
to explore and learn through play!
Our class teacher's name is Mrs Steel and our Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is Miss Tanner.
Our topic this half term is ‘Animal Antics.’ We will
look closely at Elmer and use Talk 4 Writing skills to retell the story and even innovate it!
study pattern and discuss a variety of marks made when drawing. e.g. zig-zags, swirls, spirals etc.
look at number and accurate counting, as well as place value and addition.
discuss the world and different climates.
write fact-files of hot and cold animals.
explore different ways of moving and learn new playground games.
make a clay animal or pot linked to our learning.
Heading towards Christmas we will be spending time practicing for a nativity performance which will be recorded this year. We will be learning the Christmas Story, making Christmas gifts and card and learning all about the celebration around the world.
We are keen to work in partnership with parents this year, even though it's a little tricky. Please keep an eye on MarvellousMe messages which will be sent at various points throughout the week.
