Hello to all our brilliant Badgers!
Our Teacher is Miss Niblett and our Teaching Assistant (TA) is Mrs Pennock.
During the school day, we will try to be outside as much as possible, whatever the weather, so please make sure you always bring a coat, with a hood to school and a sun hat if the weather is hot. You will also need to bring a water bottle, packed lunch (if not having a lunch provided by school) and a healthy snack for playtime. Remember to bring your book bag for taking your reading book home.
P.E is on a Tuesday and a Thursday. You can wear your PE kit and trainers to school on those days, please dress for the weather as you will going outside for playtimes (tracksuits/jumpers for cold days).
Miss Niblett has her PPA time on a Thursday afternoon when the class will be covered by Miss Daniels and Mrs Slater.
Parents and carers - please continue to support your child with daily reading by listening to them read their reading books and also by reading story books with/to them from the local library. (10 minutes a day is definitely better than 20 minutes a week.)
As Dr Seuss the author of 'The Cat in the Hat' said:
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Remember learning continues every day at home when you talk with your child about their day, and they can share with you some of the fantastic learning that has been happening at school.
We want to work in partnership with you to ensure a smooth transition back to school and to ensure your child is a happy, resilient, enthusiastic and independent learner. Although times are strange, please let us know any worries or concerns.
We went on a trip to Marwell Zoo to support our understanding of our topic
‘The Living Rainforest’ and ‘Extreme Survival’.
We spent time walking around the zoo learning about all the animals and their habitats and attended a workshop provided by Marwell staff on adaptation to environments and habitats.
We had a Super day - Take a look at our pictures.
