This term we are travelling the globe with our mouths open! We are tasting and munching our way through food from various places around the globe and learning about how it gets from a farm to our fork. We will also be looking at food during World War Two and experiencing rationing.
We will also continue swimming on a Monday until 3rd July (inclusive) in place of indoor PE.
On Monday 10th July we will be visiting Sopley Fruit Farm - look out for the letter with details coming your way soon!
Day-to-day information about Rabbits Class.
For Games (Wednesday), when the weather is warm, children need to wear black shorts and the green school PE tee-shirt and a pair of trainers. All kit should be named. If your child wears earrings, they also need to wear tape to cover them or be able to remove them themselves. If they cannot do this, it might be wise not to wear them on Wednesdays. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
This term we will be trialling a different approach to home learning. The children will need to earn 5 POWer points from the tasks given which link directly to our topic. (Please see the links below) Each task is worth a set number of points and they will need to select those that total 5. This homework will be due in on Monday 17th July.
We will still be making regular use of the RM easimaths and j2e.com programs. Links are below. Please encourage your child to complete these reguallry not just when we ask them to!
We will still occasionally send home a traditional spelling list for the children to learn. We would appreciate your support in learning these.
If you have any concerns or questions, please let us know (sooner, rather than later!) and we will be more than happy to help. We are usually around the classroom door at the end of the day, so please feel free to approach us and we'll be happy help.
